Places to Find Free Juicer Recipes

There are many places to find free juicer recipes.

Free Recipes

The first place to look is in the box that came with the juicer, since many, if not most manufacturers include a few recipes in the owner’s manual or provide a separate booklet or card. The recipes included are usually good ones to start with since they are often tried and true recipes with very simple instructions. The measurements are also sure to fit with the juicer's size.

Online Sources

The next place to look for recipes is on the computer. The Internet is a good resource for free recipes since there are so many available and they can easily be printed out. There are a lot of websites with free juicer recipes. Here are some of the best.

  1. Harvestessentials.com – This site is run by a juicer and dehydrator manufacturer, but the recipes page is not overly salesy. It features both sweet and savory concoctions that can be made with the juicer. The majority are apple, tomato or pineapple based.
  2. RawFoodLife.com – This site, dedicated to the raw food diet, has several recipes for drinks, including one for a mock V8 juice. It also has directions on how to make vegan tuna salad and mayonnaise in the juicer.
  3. Your-healthy-eating-helper.com – The best thing about this site is not the recipes themselves but the extensive list of juicing tips for people new to juicers. It does have some good recipes for cleansing drinks too.
  4. HealthMad.com – This site has what it calls “exotic and healthy” recipes. They are for juices said to have specific health benefits on the body. For example, there is a recipe for a cholesterol lowering drink and one to help the skin. There are also pictures of the drinks, so it’s easier to tell if they turn out right.
  5. Quickcare.org – This page is dedicated to juicer recipes for use on a detox diet. The juices featured are meant to be vitamin rich and good for cleansing. Some say they help improve the digestive system.

Recipe database sites like allrecipes.com and recipezaar.com also have juicer recipes. The easiest way to find them is to put the word “juice” in the search box.

Other Sources for Free Recipes

The web is not the only place where free recipes can be found. There are other ways to get them.

  • Ask friends and family members for their favorite recipes.
  • Look for juicer or raw food recipe books at the local library and copy down your favorite finds.
  • Write to, or email, juicer manufactures and ask them to send recipes.
  • Experiment with juicing different vegetables and fruits to create personal recipes.
  • Look for fliers or recipe cards at health and natural food stores. They are often in the produce section.

Juice Recipe for Beginners

This recipe for tomato juice is probably similar to one of the ones in most juicer owner’s manuals. It doesn’t take many ingredients and is hard to mess up.

  1. Peel, core and chop six large tomatoes.
  2. Dice two ribs of celery.
  3. Place the tomatoes and the celery in the juicer.
  4. Add a teaspoon of hot sauce.
  5. Turn the juicer on high and blend until liquefied.

For extra seasoning, add parsley or onion as a garnish. Stir in pepper or salt to taste. This recipe should make approximately four eight-ounce glasses of juice. It’s best when drunk right away.
